According to TechFlow, on October 10, Mt.Gox officially announced that the deadline for bankruptcy compensation would be extended by one year to October 31, 2025. The Mt.Gox bankruptcy administrator said that although the compensation to creditors who have completed the procedures and have no problems has been basically completed, there are still a large number of creditors who have not received compensation due to incomplete acceptance procedures or other problems. In order to compensate these bankrupt creditors as reasonably as possible, the bankruptcy administrator changed the deadline for compensation from October 31, 2024 (Japan Standard Time) to October 31, 2025 (Japan Standard Time) after obtaining permission from the court.
