Trump Family-Led DeFi Platform World Liberty Financial to Launch Aave V3 on Ethereum The DeFi protocol World Liberty Financial (WLF), led by former US President and current Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's family, is proposing to launch a platform on the Ethereum (ETH) mainnet that will use Aave (AAVE) V3. "Aave is the industry's leading secure and proven crypto lending protocol. Partnering with Aave allows us to provide our users with the trusted platform they need," WLF stated via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle. "With the launch of WLF's Aave V3 instance, users will be able to lend and borrow tokens such as ETH, WBTC, USDC, and USDT," WLF explained in its governance proposal, adding that, "Depositors will earn interest on fees paid by borrowers. Furthermore, our deep relationships with traditional finance and institutional investors will allow us to onboard assets not currently supported on the Ethereum mainnet." The WLF team also noted that upon successful integration with Aave, it plans to expand its platform onto the Ethereum Layer 2 Scroll (SCR).
