đŸ‡»đŸ‡ł The concept of "Digital assets" is included in the law for the first time

At the meeting on October 8, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung proposed adding content about digital assets to the draft Law on Digital Technology Industry.

Digital assets are defined as intangible assets, expressed in the form of digital data, created, issued, stored and transferred in the electronic environment. These assets are protected by law as property rights through relevant intellectual property and civil regulations. Crypto assets are a type of digital assets.

Leaders' opinions on digital assets:

- Chairman of the National Assembly - Mr. Tran Thanh Man: "We include many new concepts in the law such as digital assets, artificial intelligence, crypto assets... These concepts need to be standardized to ensure consistency."

- Chairman of the Law Committee - Mr. Hoang Thanh Tung: Adding the concept of digital assets is necessary to keep up with global trends.

The first introduction of the concept of digital assets into legal documents is an important step forward, in line with the general trend. However, the government still needs more time to carefully review and consider.
