DOGS Token Burn DOGS developers will remove about 4.8 billion unbranded tokens from circulation. Notcoin will join the burn to bring the total amount to $4 million, the press release says.
Another 6 billion DOGS will be donated to charities chosen by the Telegram project community. The developers have previously donated to organizations such as Save the Children and Animal Charity Evaluators.
The decision to burn unclaimed coins was made as a result of a vote among DOGS holders and supporters.
âThe upcoming burn is a choice made by our community. Not only does this event reinforce our decentralized values, but it also helps ensure that the value of DOGS tokens remains high as we move forward,â a representative of the âtapalkiâ community noted.
DOGS tokens have a fixed supply of 550 billion. The project team has committed to never releasing new coins to the market. Therefore, burning unclaimed assets will reduce the current number of assets in circulation and potentially increase their price.
There are currently 516,750,000,000 DOGS tokens circulating on the market.
