According to the job posting on LinkedIn, the manager will be based in the company's New York office and will lead the team planning and implementing the annual Bitcoin for Corporations conference. In addition, the new employee will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing initiatives "for the global adoption of Bitcoin."

The following requirements apply to the candidate:

  • 5+ years of experience in event management, marketing or related fields, preferably with a focus on Bitcoin, blockchain technology or financial services;

  • a deep understanding of cryptocurrencies, a passion for Bitcoin and a desire to bring it closer to adoption by people around the world;

  • involvement in the global blockchain community.

MicroStrategy expects the new hire to help create corporate educational initiatives related to cryptocurrencies, as well as create a hub for engaging with the Bitcoin community in Washington, D.C.

Earlier, MicroStrategy Chairman Michael Saylor proposed that American banks issue dollar loans secured by bitcoin to clients.
