According to on-chain data, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin made a day trade, selling some memecoins from his wallet in exchange for about 140.6 ETH, worth $340,000.
The assets in this swap included various tokens such as 100,000 USDT (sponsored by the CATE project), 70.71 million Neiro, 11.76 billion MOODENG, 7.8 million DEGEN, and 16.03 billion KABOSU, which he did in just 30 minutes.
The altcoins that Vitalik Buterin sold in the above transaction were tokens donated by their creators.
Notably, these moves follow an earlier transfer in August of around $10 million in ETH to wallets linked to various cryptocurrency exchanges. His actions raised speculation concerns in the crypto community.
Buterin immediately stated that none of the ETH sales were for personal gain, but were instead sold for charity or invested in projects he believed had potential.
