CoinVoice has recently learned that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin donated 100 ETH, worth approximately $240,000, to the legal defense fund of Roman Storm, a Tornado Cash developer accused of money laundering.

This is the third time Vitalik has supported the fund, which has now raised more than 327 ETH. A US judge rejected Storm's motion to dismiss the case, and the case will continue. Storm denies the charges and faces up to 45 years in prison if convicted.

Despite facing sanctions, Tornado Cash still had approximately $1.9 billion in deposits in the first half of 2024. [Original link]
