Friends, Bancolombia's crypto platform, Wenia, announced that it will launch its WeniaCard in the coming weeks, so that Colombian users can pay with cryptocurrencies. WeniaCard will allow users to pay with cryptocurrencies at any merchant that accepts MasterCard.

On this occasion, Wenia emphasized that the MasterCard will be completely digital and can be connected to Apple Pay and Google Pay. For Bancolombia, the potential of a product like WeniaCard is enormous, since around 6 million Colombian women use, invest or save in cryptocurrencies.

For Wenia, the platform and Bancolombia clients are not crypto users all the time, but rather the opposite, “they are still very bank-oriented.” That is, they are digitalized and immersed in the financial world. Therefore, one of the platform’s functions is to explain how cryptocurrencies work, how to create a portfolio, and their financial utility for people.

Wenia's CEO emphasized to Forbes that since the integration of the Solana (SOL) network, it already represents 22% of its transactions, only surpassed by Bittcoin (BTC), with 35%, and far behind, Ethereum (ETH) and Polygon (POL).

That's right, friends, as I mentioned today in my article in which I speak to my Latin American brothers, crypto adoption continues to advance and Colombia is not far behind.

Thank you for supporting me.
