According to ChainCatcher, according to Decrypt, gaming giant Ubisoft will launch 10,000 NFTs on Arbitrum through Magic Eden in the coming weeks. These NFTs will allow holders to experience the upcoming shooting game (Captain Laserhawk: The GAME) in advance.

The game is reportedly set in a dystopian world inspired by the Netflix series Captain Laserhawk: Blood Dragon Remix (which itself was inspired by Ubisoft's Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon), and the multiplayer competitive game is expected to include iconic characters from Assassin's Creed. "By integrating Web3, we are enabling our community to not only play games, but also shape the future of gaming," said Didier Genevois, executive producer of Web3 at Ubisoft, in a press release.

ChainCatcher previously reported that according to Venturebeat, the Arbitrum Foundation and Sequence are working with Ubisoft Labs to develop a Web3 game (Captain Laserhawk: the G.A.M.E.). According to the plan, the game will be built on Arbitrum, while Sequence will provide key blockchain tools to enhance the scale and speed required by the growing and active community.
