Good morning, crypto industry lovers and enthusiasts! The highlights of this Friday (4) are the new Ripple x Mercado Bitcoin partnership, in addition to BitSampa, which is coming.

Ripple expands in Brazil

Ripple, in partnership with Mercado Bitcoin, announced the launch of Ripple Payments in Brazil. With this, the exchange will be able to use the solution for companies to explore international payments with blockchain technology.

The company that created XRP explained that Mercado Bitcoin is the first client to use the end-to-end solution in Latin America. With this, customers will be able to transfer funds anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day, any day of the year. In addition, customers will be able to settle payments in minutes: “the friction to transfer value is much more efficient”.

Ripple Payments will focus its solutions on the small and medium-sized business (SMB) segment. The solution promises streamlined integration (minimal friction), global access integration (over 80 payment markets worldwide) and immediate liquidity.

Additionally, the company highlighted Brazil’s progressive approach to cryptocurrency policies and adoption.

Arthur Hayes abandons memecoins

BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes appears to have exited his memecoin holdings. Just days after investing in the asset class, the well-known bigwig exited his PEPE and MOG positions, losing $40,000 in the process.

The loss occurred when the billionaire’s portfolios dropped in value to $460,000. This happened after he purchased 24.39 billion PEPE worth $252,000 on September 27 as part of a portfolio diversification strategy centered on meme coins. He also reportedly purchased $250,000 worth of MOG.
