Bitwise CEO explains XRP choice
Many expected that the next cryptocurrency to gain an ETF would be Solana due to its large market value. However, Bitwise chose XRP due to its longer history in the market.
This is because XRP occupied the 2nd position in the market for years, only behind Bitcoin. On the market for 12 years, it is one of the only ones that managed to remain among the 10 largest for so long without falling into oblivion.
In addition, it is worth remembering that XRP was sued by the SEC and this long legal battle affected its earnings by scaring away potential investors.
