Cool Cats releases The Milk Chug Season 1 on YouTube

Blue Cat and your favorite Cool Cats characters are getting an animated series, on September 24, the popular PFP series released a trailer for its new show, The Milk Chug Season 1, on X, with the 13-episode series premiering on September 26 on the Cool Cats YouTube channel.

Developed in conjunction with animation studio Titmouse, The Milk Chug features a Hollywood-star voice cast, with the blue cat voiced by Zeno Robinson (Dragon Ball Super, The Owl House), while Cool Cat’s friends are voiced by Dan Stevens (Godzilla x Kong: A New Empire, Cuckoo), Maggie Lawson (Psych, Lethal Weapon) and Natasha Leggero (Ugly Americans, Another Time), among others.

Bad Egg Co. and Panini partner to launch web3 physical trading cards

NFT collectibles brand Bad Egg has partnered with leading trading card producer Panini America to launch a series of physical cards tied to digital collectibles. Panini America is known for its NFL, NBA, FIFA, Disney and Marvel trading card collections. The collaboration with Bad Egg is a historic first step into web3 technology.

As Bad Egg described in its X announcement, the partnership will bring web3-native brand Bad Egg to a global audience through Panini America’s existing relationships with retailers like Walmart and Target.

Dataland, an AI art museum, to open in Los Angeles, California

New media artist Refik Anadol, known for his innovative use of artificial intelligence to create data-driven art, announced on September 24 that he will open the world's first AI art museum. Called "Dataland," the museum will occupy 20,000 square feet and be located within The Grand LA, a modern mixed-use development in downtown Los Angeles that opens in July 2022.

Anadol’s Dataland announcement comes the same week as an exhibition at the United Nations Headquarters during the 2024 Future Summit, where his installation “Large-Scale Natural Models: Corals” uses a dataset of 100 million images of coral reefs to highlight environmental protection and the role of technology in addressing climate challenges.

Soulbound Launches Web3 Livestreaming at TwitchCon

On September 20, web3 social gaming company Soulbound launched its new blockchain-based streaming platform at TwitchCon 2024, which provides anchors and creators with enhanced tools to expand their audiences and profit from them, according to VentureBeat.

Soulbound’s features include automated trading, a prize pool managed by smart contracts, and an NFT sticker marketplace designed to increase fan engagement.

Doodles launches first-ever digital comic, only for OG holders

Doodles has just launched (The Legend of the Cube), a whimsical digital comic that is a prequel to the adventures of Captain Stoker from the colorful animated films (The Town) and (Doodle World), and this digital comic is sent to OG holders who snapped up the limited edition Cube pack during the promotion from September 18 to 20.

The comic expands the Doodleverse storyline and unlocks rare wearable items, plus a chance to win a 1/1, 20-carat diamond cube created by high-end jewelry brand Elliot Eliantte.

Larva Labs' Autoglyph 30 auctioned to support ocean conservation

Larva Labs will auction Autoglyph#30on September 26 at Fair Warning, an invitation-only digital auction house that specializes in rare artworks, with proceeds going to Oceana, a nonprofit dedicated to combating plastic pollution in the world’s oceans.

Larva Labs, the creator of CryptoPunks, launched the 512-item “Autoglyphs” series in 2019 as one of the first generative art NFT projects, and today, Autoglyph#25is in the permanent collection of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, while Autoglyph#115is on display at the Whitney Museum in New York City.

Autoglyph#30is estimated at $150,000 to $200,000.

Ubisoft completes technical testing of Champion Tactics and prepares for full release

Game publisher Ubisoft has completed technical testing of (Champion Tactics: Grimorian Chronicles) from September 18 to 23, 2024. This web3 tactical RPG based on the Oasis second-layer blockchain allows players to test its turn-based PvP gameplay using Champion NFTs, Ubisoft Connect accounts and compatible web3 wallets.

Players can look forward to a full release later in 2024, and according to the game’s roadmap, Champion Tactics will launch as a free-to-play game, and while coins earned in the beta will not carry over to the public release, Champion NFTs and the specialties they earn through gameplay will remain, as will in-game titles, emotes, and profile pictures.

Sotheby’s ‘Contemporary Discoveries’ Sale Spotlights Digital Art at ‘Beyond the Canvas’ Sale

Sotheby’s latest Contemporary Discoveries sale features work by some of the best-known digital artists.

You’ll likely recognize Jeremy Booth, whose bold Wild West styling is featured on the OpenSea blog, and select pieces from Justin Aversano’s moving “Twin Flames” series are up for auction with a starting bid of $8,000.

In addition, there is Mad Dog Jones’ futuristic work “Forever,” known for its fusion of cyberpunk aesthetics and philosophical undertones, as well as works by three other NFT creators, for a total of 373 lots, with bidding closing on October 2.
