PANews reported on October 2 that according to The block, the U.S. Attorney's Office said that an Indiana man pleaded guilty to "cyber intrusion" and stole more than $37 million worth of cryptocurrency from nearly 600 victims. Court documents show that in February 2022, the man "participated in a cyber intrusion involving an investment holding company in Sioux Falls, South Dakota." The document also stated that the man was accused of stealing personal information and then robbing hundreds of victims. The stolen cryptocurrency was then transferred to different places around the world, including multiple mixing services and gambling sites, to conceal his identity and hide the virtual currency.
