Hashdex has filed an amended application for a cryptocurrency ETF, according to a regulatory filing from Oct. 1. This ETF, called Hashdex Nasdaq Crypto Index US ETF, will initially include Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH), but could expand to other cryptos.
- The SEC is still evaluating the fund's authorization.
- Crypto index ETFs are the new trend, similar to the S&P 500 in the traditional market.
- Franklin Templeton is also looking to launch a similar ETF.
