Changpeng Zhao Made Over $25 Million During His 117 Days in Prison

Changpeng Zhao, the former CEO of Binance, reportedly made over $25 million a day during his 117-day prison sentence, according to Forbes. Despite serving time for violating the Bank Secrecy Act, Forbes estimates his net worth increased by at least $3 billion, reaching $61 billion upon his release.

However, Bloomberg’s more conservative estimate suggests he lost money, valuing his net worth at $30.8 billion. The discrepancy stems from differing valuations of his crypto assets and his equity in companies affiliated with Binance.
