Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, announced that it will list a new altcoin under the "Seed Tag" tag, which indicates high-risk tokens.
Binance announced in a statement on September 30 that it will list EigerLayer (EIGEN), which has been long-awaited for an airdrop in the cryptocurrency market, at 08:00 on October 1.
The statement noted that EIGEN deposit transactions have started now and withdrawal transactions will start one day after the listing date.
With this listing, Binance will offer investors the opportunity to buy and sell with four different trading pairs: EIGEN/BTC, EIGEN/USDT, EIGEN/FDUSD and EIGEN/TRY.
EigenLayer is an Ethereum-based protocol that introduces the principle of re-staking in cryptoeconomic security. This principle allows ETH to be reused in the consensus layer.
EIGEN will be launched with the Seed Tag label, indicating that it may contain higher volatility and risk than other cryptocurrencies.
