ELON MUSK-INSPIRED DEPARTMENT OF GOVERNMENT EFFICIENCY TOKEN SPIRES 33,000%
The Department of Government Efficiency cryptocurrency, a satirical token inspired by discussions between former US President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk, was one of the best-performing cryptocurrencies over the weekend.
Elon Musk Promotes Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has jumped to $0.02850 and is currently trading at $0.02309 as of last Sunday.
That’s a more than 33,000% jump from its low point in September.
DOGE jumped after Musk, believed to be the richest person in the world, posted his idea for the government department after a conversation with Trump on X.com in August.
“You’re a greatter,” Trump said of Musk, referring to the Tesla layoffs. “I want Elon Musk — I want someone who has a lot of strength, courage, and skill. I want to shut down the Department of Education and bring education back to the states.”
Trump has promised to appoint Musk to head a proposed ‘government efficiency commission’ if he is re-elected in November.
