Federico Sturzenegger, Argentine President Javier Milei’s Minister of De-Regulation and State Transformation, explained that the administration is preparing to implement new measures to reduce public spending. Calling it “Deep Chainsaw,” Sturzenegger revealed that the government is working on liberalizing passenger freight transport, air transport, the medicines market, and sports associations. “Public employment has fallen by approximately 12 or 13% in the last eight months, but now comes the deep cut,” Sturzenegger stressed. He added that this reduction in state spending benefits the whole society, which had to pay for it in the form of debt, inflation, or taxes.
