Caroline Ellison's Sentence

Former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison was sentenced to two years in prison and forfeited $11 billion on charges of fraud and money laundering. Her active assistance in the investigation of Sam Bankman-Fried mitigated the verdict.

The judge emphasized that the collapse of FTX was one of the largest financial crimes, and Ellison's cooperation does not exempt her from liability. She admitted her guilt and apologized to the victims.

After the verdict for the former Alameda CEO, other defendants are now awaiting court decisions - FTX co-founder and CTO Gary Wang, as well as the head of the engineering department Nishad Singh.
