Speaking to attendees at The Economic Club event in Pittsburgh, Harris was keen to emphasize her interest in innovation in new technologies and directly touched on blockchain technology.

“We will invest in biomanufacturing and the space sector, maintain our lead in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, blockchain and other emerging technologies, and strengthen our leadership in clean energy innovation and manufacturing,” she said.

The current presidential candidate, who previously served as attorney general, also hinted at crypto-friendly laws, without going into details, after releasing her economic plan on Wednesday. “We will encourage innovative technologies like artificial intelligence and digital assets while ensuring that consumers and investors are protected… and we will create a safe business environment governed by consistent and transparent laws,” Harris said.
