The dispute between Bitfarms and Riot Platforms has been resolved with governance changes. In an announcement made on September 23, it was stated that Riot agreed to withdraw its proposals and expand its board of directors, adding Amy Freedman and one more member. In addition, both companies have averted hostile actions by entering into a standstill agreement that will last until 2026. The agreement aims to restore Bitfarms’ leadership, including disagreements regarding former CEO Geoffrey Morphy. Riot owns 18.9% of Bitfarms and had been pushing for board changes and a takeover since May 2024. Share your views in the comments!
