The CEO and co-founder of cryptocurrency exchange #Binance , Changpeng Zhao, aka CZ, could be released from a U.S. prison as early as today, two days ahead of schedule. This is likely because CZ's official release date fell on a weekend — Sunday, September 29, 2024.

Zhao spent the first two months of his incarceration in a maximum-security prison in California. He was then transferred to a halfway house in Long Beach, California, where prison officials say he went to movies and on supervised excursions.

It is unclear where CZ will go after his release. According to one of the crypto exchange's representatives, Zhao may head straight to Dubai or Paris to reunite with his family.

Earlier, information appeared that the former head of Binance, whose fortune is now about $60 billion, plans to focus on projects related to supporting children from low-income families around the world.
