The highly anticipated $HMSTR token launched today at around $0.0081, leaving Hamster Kombat players frustrated, as months of effort only netted them about $10.

Despite the game’s popularity, many players feel shortchanged. One user reported earning 1,300 $HMSTR tokens, which only converted to $10. To make matters worse, airdrop distribution issues resulted in some users receiving less than $5 in tokens, preventing them from trading on exchanges.

The situation deteriorated further when over 2.3 million players were disqualified due to suspected cheating, leading to backlash and a drop in the player base from 155 million to just 87 million active users. With such low returns, many are questioning whether the grind was truly worth it.
