Should the TON ecosystem be separated from Telegram?
Given the regulatory challenges facing Telegram, Bitget's report raises a key question: Should TON consider "de-Telegramization"?
Currently, the main traffic of TON comes from the Commonwealth of Independent States countries such as Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, followed by South Asian countries such as India and Pakistan. In developing countries such as Nigeria, TG mini-games are particularly popular.
In the long run, as the ecosystem develops and infrastructure improves, TON may need to reduce its dependence on Telegram to alleviate regulatory risks associated with Telegram.
Diversification can not only reduce risks, but also help TON attract new user groups and strengthen its ecosystem. The report suggests that TON should seek new partnerships and markets to build a stronger foundation.
However, the TON ecosystem is still highly dependent on Telegram, which may bring operational risks in the future.
