đ€« MDC Prison "Celebrity Gathering": American rapper Diddy and FTX founder SBF are in the same cell!
American rapper Diddy (Sean Combs) and convicted FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) are currently being held in the same cell at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC).
SBF has been there since August 2023 awaiting a verdict, and was later sentenced to 25 years in prison for multiple fraud charges. Diddy was arrested on September 16 of the same year on suspicion of sex trafficking and extortion.
Since then, the local government has charged Diddy with decades of sexual abuse and violence, but he has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Although the legal team tried to get him released on bail at $50 million and placed him under 24-hour surveillance, the judge rejected the bail request for fear that he would interfere with witnesses.
Lawyers complained about their clients' poor living conditions in MDC awaiting trial, but their evaluation of the place has recently improved.
Meanwhile, Diddy's lawyer Mark Agnifilo told The New York Times that he was grateful to the MDC staff for helping Diddy prepare his defense before the trial.
It is reported that the unit where Diddy and SBF are located also houses other well-known prisoners, including former Mexican Public Security Minister GarcĂa Luna and former Honduran President Juan Orlando HernĂĄndez. This unexpected "celebrity gathering" will undoubtedly become a hot topic in the prison.
