A South Korean lawmaker has proposed an amendment to the Crypto Asset User Protection Act to ensure that investors’ funds are protected in the event of exchanges going bankrupt. The amendment would prohibit cryptocurrencies from being used to settle debts or forfeit them, ensuring that they are returned to investors first.
