Odaily Planet Daily reported on September 25 local time that the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee released an investigation report on the assassination of Trump at a campaign rally in July this year. The investigation results stated that the incident was "foreseeable and preventable" and that the Secret Service and other security agencies had multiple mistakes in planning, communications, security and resource allocation. Gary Peters, a Democratic senator from Michigan and chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, said the consequences of these mistakes were terrible. Investigators found that there was no clear chain of command between the Secret Service and other security agencies. In addition, officials used multiple independent radio channels to operate, resulting in communication interruptions. (Jin Shi)
