Visa introduces the Tokenized Asset Platform

#Visa launches the Tokenized Asset Platform to assist banks in issuing fiat-backed tokens and exploring their applications on blockchain networks. The #VisaTokenizedAssetPlatform seeks to establish global standards for how financial institutions engage with blockchain technology. Spain’s Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria has already utilized the platform this year. The Spanish bank used the infrastructure in a pilot project aimed at issuing, transferring, and redeeming bank tokens on a blockchain.
