In Moscow City, the police closed a crypto exchanger with a turnover of 200 million rubles

The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk said that the police closed a cryptocurrency exchange office in the Moscow City business center. The crypto exchanger operated under the guise of a travel company, the press service of the department clarified.

The suspects communicated with clients through social networks, and for each transaction they took a commission fee of 1% of the transfer amount, the police said.

The exchanger operated under the signs of several travel companies, whose offices were located not only in the Moscow City business center on Presnenskaya Embankment, but in other areas of the Russian capital. During searches in the offices and at the residential addresses of the defendants, seals, computer equipment, gadgets and money were seized, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

The organizer of a cryptocurrency exchange office has been charged with illegal banking activities and extracting income on an especially large scale; he is under a written undertaking not to leave the city.
