According to TechFlow, people familiar with the matter revealed that cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has appointed Natasha Powell as head of UK compliance, who will take office in November.
Powell previously served as chief compliance officer at crypto payment company BCB Group. According to his LinkedIn profile, Powell began his career at the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and then worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Barclays Capital. This appointment shows that Kraken is strengthening its compliance team to cope with the increasingly stringent cryptocurrency regulatory environment.
