Riot Platforms and Bitfarms have resolved their governance dispute, according to a report by The Block. The settlement includes a provision prohibiting Riot from acquiring more than 20% of Bitfarms' outstanding voting shares without prior board approval. Additionally, Bitfarms co-founder Andres Finkielsztain has resigned from the board of directors. He will be replaced by Amy Freedman, an independent director for Riot. The settlement also includes the establishment of a strategic relationship between the two companies. Bitfarms is scheduled to hold a special shareholder meeting on November 6 to vote on the independent director nominations. However, this meeting may be delayed. The settlement resolves a months-long dispute between the two companies.
