Commerzbank announced yesterday, Thursday, a new partnership with Crypto Finance, a subsidiary of Deutsche Börse, to provide cryptocurrency trading and custody services to its corporate clients.

Partnership details:

This move aims to provide selected customers in Germany with access to cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, through a trusted and regulated partnership.

This collaboration comes shortly after Crypto Finance signed a similar agreement with Zürcher Kantonal Bank in Switzerland, further cementing its position as a trusted partner in the crypto space.

Under this partnership, Commerzbank, one of Germany’s largest banks, will be responsible for storing the cryptocurrencies, while Crypto Finance will provide trading services, ensuring that transactions are executed smoothly and securely.

It is worth noting that since its establishment in 2017, Crypto Finance has strengthened its presence in the institutional market, as it has obtained several regulatory approvals from the German Financial Supervisory Authority BaFin.

Thanks to these approvals, the company is now able to provide crypto services that are compliant with German laws, based on its secure and regulated service model in Switzerland.
