Binance announced that it has launched the FIOUSDT perpetual futures contract based on the FIO Protocol (FIO) asset today at 15:30 GMT to offer its users more cryptocurrency options and expand trading options. This new contract will allow investors to trade in USDT and will also offer leverage of up to 75 times. The FIOUSDT contract is designed for investors to use different trading strategies and will provide the opportunity to trade 24/7.
The contract’s key features include funding fees calculated every four hours and a maximum funding rate of +/- 2.00%. In addition, the minimum price movement, or “tick size,” is set at 0.00001. These features will help investors take more effective positions against price fluctuations.
Binance’s Multi-Assets mode allows traders to trade with different collateral assets. When enabled, users can use other assets such as BTC as collateral in the FIOUSDT contract. However, this trading option is subject to certain collateral haircuts.
Binance added that it may change the funding fee, tick size, maximum leverage, initial margin, and/or maintenance margin requirements of the FIOUSDT contract from time to time depending on market conditions.
