PANews reported on September 20 that the official YouTube channel used by the Supreme Court of India for live-streaming proceedings was allegedly hacked on Friday and broadcast cryptocurrency ads. The channel uploaded videos related to cryptocurrency products. Since then, the entire page has been deleted.

The country’s top court has been using a video streaming platform to broadcast cases of constitutional and public importance to a wider audience in real time. The channel saves footage of court proceedings. Archived videos have been made private and are no longer available to the public, while the homepage shows a blank video with a title that mentions cryptocurrency. Supreme Court officials did not respond to emails and phone calls seeking comment.
