According to TechFlow, on September 20, Coindesk reported that several Bitcoin wallets from the "Satoshi era" suddenly became active after 15 years of dormancy. According to on-chain data, more than 250 Bitcoins (about $16 million) were transferred in the morning European time, in five transactions, each transferring 50 Bitcoins to new wallets. These Bitcoins originated from block rewards in early 2009 and had never been active before. It is not clear whether these wallets belong to the same person or entity, and as of press time, the new wallets have not transferred funds to the exchange. It is worth noting that similar large-scale transfers of Bitcoin from the "Satoshi era" occurred in July and December last year, in which more than 1,000 Bitcoins were transferred to exchanges in December and may have been sold.
