Blockchain detective ZachXBT has exposed a group of hackers who used social engineering to steal over $240 million in Bitcoin from a wealthy victim.

- The scam took place in mid-August, targeting a creditor of Genesis, a Bitcoin exchange that went bankrupt in early 2023.

- Hackers impersonated Google and Gemini support to gain access to the victim's personal account.

- They tricked the victim into downloading AnyDesk, which allowed them to view private keys via Bitcoin Core.

Thanks to the hacker's mistake, ZachXBT helped arrest multiple suspects and freeze millions of dollars. 🕵️‍♂️💰
