Players in the Solana ecosystem are focusing on mobile devices. Just ahead of the Solana (SOL) Breakpoint event in Singapore, the Play Solana team announced its first handheld gaming console: the Play Solana Gen1 (PSG1). The retro-style device will support SOLâs decentralized network. However, itâs not yet clear which web3 games will be playable, and no launch date has been announced. đź
Suiâs Mysten Labs team also announced a web3-native handheld gaming device called the SuiPlay0X1. This device is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2025. Itâs unclear how successful these new ventures in the web3 gaming world will be.
