Solana Unveils Seeker Phone: A Major Upgrade from Saga
Solana has launched its latest smartphone, called Seeker, promising a more advanced and feature-rich experience than its predecessor, Saga.
With hardware upgrades and potential rewards for meme coin holders, Seeker aims to attract a wider audience to the Solana ecosystem.
Solana’s New Bets on Crypto Phones
At Token2049 in Singapore, Solana announced the launch of the Seeker mobile phone, priced at half what its predecessor, Saga, was selling for. Unlike Saga, Seeker is set to take a broader approach, with an updated decentralized app store, improved hardware, a higher-quality display, improved cameras, and a stronger battery.
Seeker will also be lighter than Saga, and Solana hopes the improvements will attract buyers. Most interestingly, the phone brings crypto-specific improvements. Including a built-in digital asset wallet linked to the hardware-sharded Vault Seed Key storage.
Other experiments on the list based on what the Solana community envisions include DeFi, payments, gaming, NFTs, and more.
