Ethereum developers have decided to split the massive Pectra hard fork into two packages! 🎉 This move aims to make the upgrade less complicated and reduce the risk of bugs. The first package includes EIP-7702, which improves the wallet user experience, and was written by Vitalik Buterin in 22 minutes! 🚀

The second package will be full of innovations such as the Ethereum Virtual Machine and PeerDAS. The developers noted that these changes could take shape over time. The first part of Pectra will go live in early 2025!
