According to TechFlow, on September 19, Fortune reported that Drift, a DeFi platform based on Solana, has completed a $25 million Series B financing round led by Multicoin Capital. In an exclusive interview, Drift co-founder Cindy Leow said that the company's goal is to make Drift the "Robinhood of the cryptocurrency world."
This round of financing brings Drift's total financing to $52.5 million. Drift plans to increase its headcount from 25 to 50 in the next year to support business expansion. It is worth noting that Drift is one of the few cryptocurrency companies led by women, with about half of its leadership team being women.
“Our vision is to build the foundation of financial institutions on the blockchain,” Leow said. “We plan to further expand our product line and increase the speed of operation.” Drift currently offers a range of financial service tools including spot and derivatives trading and prediction markets, all based on the Solana blockchain.
