Neiro and NEIRO are listed on Binance at the same time. Is the Meme coin track ushering in a turning point?
The "uppercase and lowercase dispute" of the Meme coin Neiro has once again pushed Binance to the forefront of public opinion. However, this time, Binance co-founder He Yi's response was unexpectedly calm and restrained, which may mean that Binance will be more cautious in its future Meme coin listing strategy. The voice of the community still has a significant impact on Binance's decision-making, and Binance's internal structure is not as "loose and casual" as the outside world believes.
At the same time, the two projects of the new Shiba Inu coin Neiro and NEIRO landed on Binance at the same time. This scene is rare in the Meme coin track and is regarded as a potential turning point in the track.
On September 16, with the release of the news that "uppercase NEIRO contracts are listed on Binance", 10 days later, Binance officially issued another announcement, announcing that "Binance will list First Neiro on Ethereum (NEIRO), Turbo (TURBO) and Baby Doge Coin (1 MBABYDOGE), and add seed tags to these tokens". Due to the uppercase NEIRO token ID used in the announcement, many people mistakenly thought it was the uppercase NEIRO project that had already launched the contract, so it did not attract much attention.
The contract address shows that this is actually the lowercase Neiro project, and the market value of the project was only about 20 million US dollars at the time.
Not only is the confusion of uppercase and lowercase Neiro projects confusing, but Binance's "one-click three-coin" operation also puzzles many users. Although TURBO and BABYDOGE are indeed "old Meme coin projects" in terms of trading volume, project operation and market recognition, such intensive "spot listings" and all concentrated in the Meme coin field are comparable to the rare operation of "BOME 3 days on Binance".
Although the dispute over the NEIRO/Neiro uppercase and lowercase token projects has temporarily subsided, the development of the Neiro project is still ongoing. According to Spot On Chain monitoring, an early SHIB buyer exchanged 1,003 ETH (US$2.31 million) for 2.86 billion Neiro on September 18.
