Cryptocurrency options analytics firm Greeks.live reported that the Bitcoin (BTC) options market saw a significant decrease in implied volatility (IV) across major maturities following the U.S. Federal Reserve's (Fed) decision to cut interest rates by 50 basis points. The firm noted that the move reflects a decline in short-term bearish sentiment among large investors. The FOMC is scheduled to meet again in November and December, with the market anticipating a cumulative 100 basis point rate cut. The November FOMC meeting is expected to coincide with the U.S. presidential election, which is likely to introduce additional volatility into the market.
