Golden Finance reported that Fed Chairman Powell said that the Fed has not declared victory in inflation, but the situation is encouraging; we hope to see inflation close to 2% for a period of time; housing inflation is a bit disturbing; the decline in housing inflation is slower than expected; other elements of inflation have performed well. Fed Chairman Powell said that there is no sign in our (economic) forecast that we are in a hurry to act. If there was employment data released at that time (at the July interest rate meeting), we might have cut interest rates in July. I don’t see any signs in the economy that the possibility of a recession is rising.
