The US Federal Reserve (Fed) lowered its policy rate by 50 basis points at its September meeting, pulling it back from its highest level in 23 years.

This decision caused widespread volatility in global markets, and the price of an ounce of gold reached a record high. Gold, which was traded at $2,580 before the decision, quickly rose to $2,594.19, reaching an all-time high.

The Fed's entry into a rate-cutting cycle after a 54-month hiatus had a positive impact on global stock markets. While increases were recorded in stock indices, the dollar index fell to 100.37. The euro/dollar parity rose from 1.1125 to 1.1183.

While US bond yields fell following the Fed's decision, Bitcoin prices followed a volatile course. This record rise in gold and the reaction of the markets attracted the attention of global investors.
