About the Accelerator Program
The program aims to help experienced Web2 development teams smoothly transition to the GameFi field, while providing comprehensive support for building and nurturing sustainable Web3 game projects. To promote this goal, the project has set up a special fund of up to US$10 million, focusing on promoting innovation, providing strong support for potential projects, and promoting the continued growth of the GameFi ecosystem on the Metis Layer 2 network. During the 6-12 month incubation period, project teams will receive full support at all stages of development, including technical assistance and strategic guidance, to help them smoothly embark on the journey to Web3 games.
Program Framework
The $10 million fund will be tailored to the specific needs of the projects, with no fixed budgetary constraints. The accelerator program will incubate 12 projects, ranging from early concept to mature stages, ensuring innovation is driven at all levels. The 6-12 month incubation period provides ample time for the full development and improvement of the projects. The breakthrough-based funding model will ensure personalized support at different stages of project development, helping each project to fully realize its potential and make an important contribution to the Metis ecosystem.

The evaluation criteria for application projects include but are not limited to the following:
Has the potential to revolutionize the gaming industry through blockchain integration
A minimum viable product (MVP) has been developed that demonstrates the core concept
Highly aligned with Metis’ strategic goals of driving innovation, enhancing community engagement, and promoting ecosystem growth
Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of blockchain gaming, with a detailed project plan and the potential to achieve long-term sustainability and positive community impact
Have an independent and sustainable project development path
Ability to develop products or technologies with significant competitive advantages
In addition, reapplication requires a one-week waiting period and a three-failure elimination system is implemented.
Incubation stage
Initial stage: The project has developed a minimum viable product (MVP) that demonstrates core functionality and value propositions, and has developed a comprehensive and clearly structured business model that identifies its revenue streams, target markets, and growth strategies. During this stage, the project team actively seeks investment and funding from the Layer1/Layer2 ecosystem to support the development of the Web3 GTM framework and optimize its business model.
Growth stage: The project has successfully completed financing or received initial funding, demonstrated the trust of investors and supporters, and has gained initial traction in the market, with a growing user base. The project has a favorable position in the blockchain gaming ecosystem and is entering a critical development stage. The team is launching a native token for the in-game economy and is negotiating with exchanges for listing.
Maturity: The project is successfully listed on a well-known exchange, demonstrating market validation and good liquidity of the token. The team is currently focusing on further development of the ecosystem, actively expanding the community, and continuously improving the token economic model based on data and user feedback.
