Google Cloud has launched its Blockchain Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service. The service aims to make it easier for crypto developers to interact with blockchain data and increase the reliability of decentralized applications (DApps). The service will be initially compatible with the Ethereum mainnet and testnet, and will expand to other blockchains over the next year.
Google Cloud said that this new service will start with a free tier and will offer 100 call requests per second and one million requests per day. The service can be integrated into Ethereum-based DApps with a single line of code.
RPC is a software communication protocol used for one program to request a service from another program. Google Cloud emphasized that RPC reliability is a constant challenge for crypto developers, and even small delays can affect the performance of decentralized applications.
What do you think of this new service? We welcome your comments.
