BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has announced a partnership with Microsoft to launch a $30 billion artificial intelligence investment fund. The goal is to build data centers and energy projects to meet growing demand for AI products. The IEA predicts that data center energy consumption could exceed 1,000 terawatt hours by 2026, double the 2022 figure. U.S. energy demand growth could also nearly double in five years. The new fund will prepare the infrastructure for AI, including data centers with GPUs from #nvidia .
