Donald Trump Announces Launch of World Liberty Financial on September 16
Donald Trump revealed that his crypto project, World Liberty Financial, will launch on September 16 during a live stream on Twitter Spaces. Formerly a critic of cryptocurrencies, Trump is now fully committed to the sector and has promised to replace traditional banks with crypto solutions.
His son, Donald Trump Jr., and Eric Trump had announced developments in the world of crypto and DeFi. The project, built on the Aave platform and the Ethereum blockchain, will focus on a “credit account system,” according to a published whitepaper.
Trump has also said he would halt the sale of the United States’ 213,000 bitcoins and fire SEC Chairman Gary Gensler if re-elected.
Last month, Dolomite’s Corey Caplan was named an advisor to World Liberty Financial. The project emphasizes security and collaborates with leading experts such as Zokyo and PeckShield. However, Rep. Maxine Waters has expressed concerns about the risks associated with this new DeFi project.
