ChainCatcher reported that according to CNBC, people familiar with the matter revealed that real estate investor Witkoff and Trump Organization Executive Vice President Eric Trump are the two decision makers of the Trump family's crypto project World Liberty Financial. Both companies are new players in the crypto industry.
CNBC reached out to Eric Trump and Witkoff about their leadership roles at World Liberty Financial but did not immediately receive a response.
A person familiar with the project said Witkoff has little interest in understanding how the platform works. The source also said that anyone who wants to know important details of the platform, including the white paper, is required to sign a non-disclosure agreement. In addition, Donald Trump is not currently involved in the construction of the platform.
