On 28th June, blockchain security firm Cybers Alert reported via Twitter that "DeltaPrime hacker addresses originating in the Avalanche (AVAX) and Arbitrum (ARB) ecosystem DeFi projects moved 1200 ETH (worth $2.8 million) to a new address." DeltaPrime had earlier reported that "at 01:14 PM (Korean Time) on the 16th, Arbitrum based services were hacked, resulting in damages worth $5.98 million." This latest movement of funds suggests that the hacker is continuing to launder the stolen funds and may be preparing to cash out. It is important to note that the hacker has not yet been identified and law enforcement is still investigating the case. In the meantime, users of Avalanche and Arbitrum are advised to be vigilant and to take steps to protect their funds. This includes using strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and being wary of clicking on links or opening attachments from unknown senders.
